A forward-thinking sustainable home with an interior to suit
Our client embarked on a colossal and experimental project to build their dream sustainable home. The home is located on a 10 acre property at Kinglake, an hour away from Melbourne. This is an area familiar to extreme climate conditions; it was one of the worst hit by the Black Saturday bushfires in 2009.
Working alongside of eco designer Joost Bakker, the aim was to create a home complementary to the forward-thinking architecture and the naturally rural surroundings.
The Non-toxic House was featured on Grand Designs Australia in 2015.
